when you wake in the middle of the night, there is a reason. the standard reasons are always there – worried, scared, troubled. but there is another reason for waking up in the night. it is a specific reason that you must find out. it is your job to find out why you awoke in the night. your mind is telling you to look for that reason. your mind is telling you to wake up and find that reason. it is ok to wake in the middle of the night because your mind needs you to wake up. there is something you must remember. there is something your must solve. there is something you must find out. your mind is helping you. don’t look at waking up in the night as a bad thing. waking up in the middle of the night is an opportunity presented to you by your brain. you now have the chance to find out something that will help you. next time you wake up in the middle of the night – let your mind run over your thoughts. just lean back and relax – let your mind run – and you will find out why your mind woke you up. you will then be happy that you found the answer. you can then go back to sleep. you can catch up on sleep another time. you can get through the next day with less sleep. it’s ok to wake up in the middle of the night. it is a blessing. it is a gift. it is an opportunity.
overall you are good. you do most things in moderation and this will prolong your life. but there are some things that you have done all your life and you have occasionally done these things in excess. in the past you experienced more events in excess -and as time has gone on, you have done these things less – but still in excess sometimes. they have been habits that have not killed you…yet. and who is to say that they will kill you earlier than if you never did them. but there are people around that you love that could be affected by these moments of excess – and this is why you must make a conscious change to stop doing these things in excess. yes, you only do them 2-3 times per year – but that is 2-3 times too many now. you are getting older and you must stop these bouts of excess. it is not good for you or the people around you. it will end badly if you do not stop. you need to think and say to yourself, I will make that conscious change – even if it means you will not experience these things anymore. force yourself to make the conscious change.
hitting the weights
get in there and hit those bloody weights –i mean make it worth something –you are pissed about something –get in there and take it out on the weights or treadmill or whatever. the point is every day we come across shit that pisses us off –right? don’t BS me–nobody is really that damn nice –even if you show it on the outside, even if you are the quietest person –like a fricking mouse –you still get pissed off –we all do! so get in there and curse like nobody while you pump the weights –tell yourself that you are not going to take that shit, that you will push through and make it happen, that little BS things happen all the time and it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. the reality is we only get pissed off because of insecurities that surface during daily BS –and these insecurities push us to the negative of things happening and going on –then we are like WTF and we get pissed. so get past the insecurity BS and guess what? the only thing that matters is what you think because we are only here for a few years and people kick the bucket every day –so don’t waste time dwelling when the bucket is coming regardless. feel better?
